“We are first-time buyers, and we booked Andrew James Surveyors since they are based in the North East. According to various search engines, Andrew James Surveyors had the best reviews, the best price, good communication, and a sample report to show us what we would get for our money. Prior to the completion of the inspection/survey, the surveyor contacted me to find out if I had any concerns or if anything we had noticed during our viewing, that needed clarification. He contacted me afterward to give me a brief review of his findings and explained to me anything I didn’t understand or was unsure of. The surveyor as we spoke, sent me some photos he took so I could see what he was talking about. We received a detailed report within five days as promised, with defect and cost estimates, photos, causes, and the level of attention required. According to the report there was over £25,000 in damage and repairs that were needed to the property, so we are unsure whether we will proceed with the sale. Having said that, I am very happy and overjoyed that this survey saved us vast sums of money had we purchased the property without purchasing the building survey.
